Daniel McFeeters and
Kristina Reeve are co-directors of
Discovering His Treasures ministry.
Kristina does most of the speaking, handles phone calls and email, designs the slide shows, and develops much of the website content. When she's not in her office she is outdoors enjoying God's creation, finding object lessons, and taking pictures. She has had many
adventures as a colporteur and Bible worker around the United States, working for Adventist churches and
Review and Herald Publishing since 1999. In 2007 she retired from colporteuring so she could work full time in the Discovering His Treasures Ministry. Kristina graduated from
Ouachita Hills College in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Personal Ministries. She currently lives with her family and Elisabeth at their country home in Colville, Washington and is an active member of the
Northport Seventh-day Adventist Church.
"When I began learning how to study the Bible through nature, my spiritual walk with God deepened, and a whole new world opened. It was so profound, I just couldn't wait to share it with others and began incorporating it in Bible studies, children, youth, and adult Sabbath schools, sermons, and evangelism. I had no idea that my love for nature lessons would turn into a ministry. But God has truly led. There's nothing more exciting than seeing people draw closer to Christ, and discover His hidden treasures through nature, because of our work!" ~ Kristina
Daniel supports many of the technical aspects of the ministry, including website maintenance and custom software development. Though he isn't able to be at every seminars yet, he works hard to make them possible. He also helps with nature research, ideas, editing, and nature photography. He
spent a year in Namibia, Africa with
Adventist Frontiers Missions, bringing the gospel to the Himba tribe. He is currently working on his Bachelor's in Computer Information Technology, and running
FiForms Solutions, a company helping businesses organize their knowledge. When he's not in his office, you'll find him spending time in nature, or sharing God's love with others in his community. He lives in a small country home with his family near Somerset, Kentucky, where he is an elder and personal ministries director at the
Somerset Seventh-day Adventist Church.
"There's nothing more fascinating for me than discovering hidden treasures--new knowledge, natural wonders, and amazing lessons in nature and God's word. Best of all is finding an experience in God's creation that helps me glimpse a clearer picture of a loving Creator God and my Savior, Jesus Christ. The most powerful experiences in my life have been at times when I am out in nature, away from the busyness of the world, and close to God. It is times like these, whether listening to the roar of a waterfall, admiring a herd of antelope, or tracing the delicate veins of a leaf, that I see a clearer picture of God, hear His voice, and find a deeper understanding of His Word. I'm excited to be part of a ministry that is not only engaged in discovery, but also helping others find the joy of discovering God's Treasures!" ~ Daniel
Daniel and Kristina are engaged and look forward to their wedding on March 8, 2009. After the wedding, Daniel and Kristina, and the
Discovering His Treasures ministry, will be moving to a new location near Somerset, Kentucky.
Elisabeth Mizner is Kristina's assistant--traveling with her on speaking trips, helping with the forum and other ministry projects, and keeping Kristina alive and healthy. Born and raised in a country home in Arkansas, and having a love for God's creatures, Elisabeth has been an animal rescuer and
dog breeder for many years. She also spent two summers sharing God's message of love with others as a magabook student in Review and Herald
canvassing programs. She now lives with Kristina's family in Colville, Washington and is an active member of the
Northport Seventh-day Adventist Church.
"While working with God's creatures--whether it was caterpillars, cats, cockatiels, dogs, fawns, frogs, guinea pigs, hummingbirds, lizards, rabbits, salamanders, turtles, or tarantulas, my thoughts would turn to Him. Seeing God's creative design, and knowing just how much He cares for the little creatures, made me want to learn more how those things could show me His character. I remember the first time I rescued a fawn that had abandoned by its mother. I think of the fawn's intentness in listening to our voices when we would sing, reminding me of how we should listen to God's voice. Now I'm thrilled to be able to help others learn about God through nature as well!" ~ Elisabeth
God bless you!
