The Holy Scriptures are God's special revelation of Himself. Through them, we can learn about His character, His law, about the creation of this world, the origin of sin, and most importantly, about Jesus Christ and God's plan of salvation--how that through Christ sin is finally destroyed, and the redeemed restored to their Eden home.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
